Garbage Bags
Maastricht has a recycling and disposal system for household waste. The red and white garbage bags are for household waste, and can be placed outside once a week, or once every two weeks, depending on the district you live in. Plastic, paper, metal cans, glass and drink cartons can be disposed free of charge at various recycling points (milieuperrons) around the city.
The red and white garbage bags can be purchased at the information desk of all supermarkets in Maastricht.
