There are many excellent places to eat in the town. Key areas to peruse are around Onze Lieve Vrouweplein, Vrijthof, Maaspromenade and Wycker Brugstraat. Also around Tongersestraat, close to the Economics and Law faculties of the Universiteit Maastricht.

Il Bacaro: A real cozy Italian ‘bar e cucina’ with great Italian ‘cicchetti’ (Italian style tapas) located at the Vrijthof. Great food and whines for affordable prices. Vrijthof 16E.

Witloof: Great hotspot for a typical Belgium dish! All the ingredients are Belgium produce. This restaurant in Maastricht is a great place for good food for reasonable prices. Sint Bernardusstraat 12.

Novo New Dining: The new NOVO new dining is located in the Sphinxkwartier, a former industrial estate in the center of Maastricht, on the fifth floor of coffee roaster Maison Blanche Dael. Aan de Brikkenbouw 4F.

Le Petit Bonheur: Behind the gates of this old town farm it is clear why they talk about the little happiness. Everything looks and smells like France. The menu offers a wide choice, the restaurant has a cozy wine cellar and during the summer you can dine in the beautiful courtyard of this historic 17th century building. Achter de Molens 2.
