I have a technical problem, how can I report this?

If you experience a technical issue in the property you rent, you can report this to the landlord or, if applicable, the property manager. The contact details can be found in your rental contract.

Please describe the issue clearly so that appropriate action can be taken as quickly as possible.

Which faults do I have to solve myself?

In general, minor repairs and daily maintenance are the responsibility of the tenant. Major repairs and maintenance are the responsibility of the landlord.

This is defined in the Minor Repairs Decree. If you have any questions, please contact your landlord or property manager.

What should I do in the event of fire or burglary?

In case of fire or burglary, always call 112 immediately.

What should I do in the event of an electrical fault?

Check the fuse box first

In case of an electrical issue, first check the fuse box to see if a fuse has blown. This can occur due to a short circuit caused by an appliance.

Identify the device causing the issue and disconnect it from the power supply.

Unable to find the issue?

Then contact the landlord or property manager.

What should I do if I smell gas?

Gas leak

If you smell gas, immediately turn off the main gas valve and call the grid operator at 0800-9009 (available 24/7). Then contact the landlord or property manager.

Turning off the gas

The main gas valve is located next to the gas meter. This may be inside the meter cupboard, but can also be located near the building entrance or in the basement.

The valve may be a lever, button, or rotating knob.

My heating is not working (properly), what should I do?

If your heating is not working (properly), please contact the landlord or property manager. They can arrange a technician if necessary.
